At the farm 2014
Our littlechicks always look forward to the arrival of the new baby chicks
All the baby chicks have arrived first batch in June 2nd batch in July. The turkeys are doing great. The first 7 weeks are alot of hands on work.We do not have any automatic feeders so we spend alot of time in the turkeys.
The June Birds have already been moved outside about 2 weeks ago and the 2nd group will be big enough to move outside in about a week.It always amazes me the difference in the birds within the first week outside. It must be the fresh air and sunshine because that is when they really start to grow and really feather out. Our birds are fed with feed we mix ourselves here at the farm we mix 3 tons at a time. They are also fed bales of hay so that they get the greens that are important in a healthy turkey. We raise 5000 turkeys and they will eat about 140 bales of hay between now and November
I have already started taking orders for those who want to reserve there Holiday Turkey early. So if you want to order now just give me a call 801-731-3760. Remember we are out in the turkeys alot in the morning so you might get the answering machine so be sure to leave your name and number and I'll call you back as soon as I can to get your order.
